Well it happened, I turned 30.
On Friday I celebrated my 30th birthday here in Montreal with a few of my very best friends. We went and enjoyed a delicious meal at Le Comptoir (4807 St. Laurent). The food was divine, the company wonderful, and the night in general was one of the best I have had in a very long time.
My amazing friends also managed to give me the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received.
My first gift arrived late in the afternoon. My friend Andrea who lives back home, sent me the most gorgeous floral arrangement, birthday balloons and all!
Elsa gave me a beautiful travel tea mug, and my very own personalized assortment of tea's and sugars from my FAVOURITE place in Montreal, Fuchsia Epicerie Fleur (4050 Coloniale).
Alex and Tara made me an adorable leather bow cuff (I've blogged about this very cuff previously) and two paper peonies.
Candice, my friend who is the best little baker I know, gave me a stylish recipe box and book. She included a recipe for one of her amazing confections, which I will attempt to make it this week.
Kahina, my dear friend and yoga buddy, took me out for a birthday brunch and gave me a yoga towel I have been lusting after for years, but have not been able to buy. Needless to say, I was blown away and SO thankful.
You can check out some of my birthday loot below. I can't believe the thoughtfulness and generosity of my amazing friends. Having friends like you guys is gift enough. Thank you for making this weekend so special. I love you all dearly. xo - Alanna
